Clinton Foundation, held September 24 - 26, 2008, in New York City. Ted Moorhouse was invited to participate in the CGI annual meeting as a representative of the education sector.
Speaking from the floor of the CGI conference, Ted Moorhouse said, "Serebra is privileged to be a part of the CGI and to help bridge the education gap in developing nations. Ted Moorhouse was honored with an award from former U.S. President Bill Clinton for Serebra's dedication to finding ways to help address the education gaps between developing and developed nations. Education is one of four areas of focus for the meeting, the others being poverty alleviation, energy and climate change, and global health.
The Clinton Global Initiative, now in its fourth year, draws world leaders, celebrities, activists and scholars for three days of discussions surrounding pressing global issues. Already, CGI members have made nearly 1,000 Commitments to Action valued at upwards of $30 billion to improve more than 200 million lives in over 150 countries. Membership in the CGI is limited to a select group of heads of state, CEOs, media voices, philanthropists and foundation heads, religious leaders and original thinkers.
